Passenger Revolt:
After news of the three other hijacked flights, the passengers on Flight 93 immediately realized that their plane was also a part of the terrorist’s plot. A brief discussion and vote later, the passengers decided to fight back against their hijackers. At 9:57, the passengers and crew started to fight against the hijackers. It was recorded by the cockpit voice recorder. At around 9:58 AM, the hijackers in the cockpit became aware of the revolt, shouting, “Is there something? A fight?” |

While the passengers were charging, the hijackers began to rotate the aircraft in an attempt to throw the passengers off balance. The main hijacker, a trained pilot, Ziad Jarrah eventually stabilized the plane at 10:00. Later, he asked, “Is that it? Shall we finish it off?” In response, another hijacker said, “No. Not yet. When they all come, we finish it off.”
